Connexions in Tyne and Wear are the local organiser of work experience for schools, colleges and academies across Tyne and Wear and arrange around 12,000 placements a year.

They are currently looking for local businesses interested in offering a young person a chance of one weeks work’s experience in 2010. The purpose being to give students a taste of working life in the company of adults in a working environment.

This is an important aspect of school/college life as it gives the young person a chance to experience a working environment before committing to career opportunities. It also raises your company’s profile within the local community.

We are pleased to announce that we are the one of the winners of the BT Business Essence of the Entrepreneur competition 2009. The competition looks to recognise and reward entrepreneurs who have been innovative, and particularly successful with the help of technology. We have had our portrait taken by Rankin as part of the campaign and this will be on display at gallery@oxo on London’s Southbank along with the 19 other winners.
